Fairy Tale Magic - Cinderella
Costume and Photography: Amira Miles
Cinderella
Welcome back to Fairy Tale Magic Week at Little Lizard King. Today’s costume is full of magic, pumpkins and with a little help from the fairy godmother our princess will be ready for the royal ball.
Amira may not have had a magic wand on her sewing table, but she used all of her sewing skills to fashion a quintessential dress filled with magical delight. We cannot even begin to count how many princess gowns our girls have wished for over the years, and it is no surprise that Amira drew inspiration from an all-time favorite.
She encompassed all the elements that would capture the attention of any little girl dreaming of glass slippers, castle delight, and happily ever after.
Amira stitched a signature style that pays homage to the original gown, with plenty of extra-special details. Her sweet princess can now step into a carriage on her way to the ball, dance throughout the royal event, or run away at the stroke of midnight. Her enchanting costume is designed for spinning, playing, and creating cherished childhood memories.
This keepsake dress combines the the most wonderful combination of patterns — a bodice from Albany (with an extra inch of length) and Montrose skirting. With layers of Blue Radiance crepe back satin paired with a pettiskirt beneath, the full skirting is airy and twirly, and perfectly irresistible. These patterns are divine on their own but when combined, they are incrementally more charming! The Lenox headband created a perfect finishing touch with a similar aesthetic to the classic hairpiece.
Sewing miracles take a little time to create, but in the end you’ve never seen a child come more alive with such wide smiles than when they are wearing a dream come true gown.
Luckily the magic of this alluring dress will last long after midnight!
