Peggy Sue Sew Along - Introduction

Niina Kivelä

peggy sue

Hi! My name is Natalie Hidalgo and I am the owner of Tutu Cute Designs. It is my pleasure to be bringing you this months sew along, Peggy Sue.  You may see me refer to the pattern as Peggy.  This pattern is perfect for someone just beginning to sew, or someone who is just looking for something fun.  Peggy Sue features a circle skirt, which is perfect for the little girl, who loves to twirl.  I have tweaked a few parts of the pattern, as well as added inseam pockets, and a button up back.  Before we get started, there are a few things to decide.

·       Top or Dress

·       Simple Bodice or Bib Bodice

·       Ruffle or no ruffle

Simple Version

 Bib Version

Here is a schedule of what each day will entail.

Day One: Choose fabric, purchase pattern here, download and print the pocket pattern here, cut your fabric out.

Day Two: Construct Bodice Option 1- Simple Bodice

Day Three: Construct Bodice Option 2- Bib Bodice

Day Four: Constructing the skirt

Day Five: Attaching the bodice to the skirt

I want to thank Threads and Stitches for providing the fabric for sponsoring this Sew Along! The dresses made in this sew along, were made with fabric from their site.
