Introducing the Bloom Collection

Introducing the Bloom Collection

Liz King

The days are growing longer, the weather is warmer, and flowers are beginning to's the perfect time to start planning your spring sewing!

Inspired by the beautiful gardens of France: Ardenne, Monet, and Versailles are Bloom, a new collection of three patterns that embody timeless style for a modern girl's wardrobe.  These three patterns are as suitable for toddlers as they are for teens.  There are options for adding or removing ruffles and sashes so you can customize to your heart's content.

Ardenne can be sewn with a lovely ruffle and sweet sash for those younger girls who love to twirl and run through the garden while looking pretty but still comfortable.  The sash and ruffle can also be left off making Ardenne the essential spring sundress for older girls who prefer simpler styling.

One of the joys of sewing is the feeling of pride and accomplishment gained from learning new skills. Let us teach you how to perform a blind hem, it's a simple way to give your dresses a couture touch.  And, if one skill isn't enough, the Ardenne tutorial guides you though inserting a zipper in a fully lined bodice!  Your dresses will have a neat, professional finish, and with a little practice you'll be inserting zippers with ease!

Meet Monet!  Monet is a beautiful dress or peplum top!  The bodice features princess seams which can be embellished with trims or optional double ruffles.  The ruffles are a favorite for the younger girls, but for the older girl, omit the ruffles and you have a gorgeous, trendy style she'll adore.

Monet also has an adorable skirt ruffle option and features a lined, button back bodice.  We love how this one pattern can create so many different looks!

The Versailles dress is so classic and elegant!  The dress has a stunning v shaped back neckline that showcases optional double ruffles.  The Versailles has two length options, an everyday friendly knee length version and an incredibly lovely maxi length option.  The tutorial guides you through creating a placket for ease of dressing and creating a lined bodice for maximum comfort.

We hope you're as inspired as we are by these beautiful dresses and we can't wait to see what you create!  Pick up your copy of Ardenne, Monet, and Versailles at 20% off now through Sunday April 2, 2017 at midnight HAST (Hawaii-Aleutian standard time!)  Please join our Facebook group and share your sewing adventures with us!
